Skift, the most influential media company covering the business of travel, is seeking a full-time writer to curate newsletters on travel industry news from the Middle East and Asia.
Here’s how the role’s responsibilities break down.
One part of the job will be to help us launch and develop and maintain an exciting new product, a daily newsletter for travel news in the MENA region. The newsletter will be a digest of curated travel news from the Middle East and northern Africa. The Middle East is the epicenter of energy right now for travel, and this newsletter will become the essential read among any travel executive with interests in the region.
The newsletter will encompass hotel and resort development, airline and airport expansions, online travel players and tourism and destination growth, and much, much more. The newsletter each day will include anywhere from 15 to 30 digestible items in an aggregated style.
The other part of the job is assuming responsibility for the iconic hotel industry newsletter Daily Lodging Report’s APAC edition, focusing on hospitality developments across Asia and India. This is curated as well in a digestible format, with 12 to 20 items daily included. Daily Lodging Report is a Skift brand and its editor is looking for reliable help with this crucial APAC edition.
Candidates will ideally have a working familiarity with the travel industries in the Middle East and Asia, and would preferably reside in India.
The position will report to Skift’s editor-in-chief, with a dotted line on the Daily Lodging Report newsletter to the DLR editor.
