The Opportunity

Skift is hiring a Creative Strategist / Producer to join our design and creative team at an exciting time, as we enter the new “Golden Age of Travel”.  Founded in 2012, Skift is a business-to-business media company that reports on the travel industry by providing news, and insights to senior executives through our digital platform including research, newsletters, and conferences.

Skift’s design and creative team produces multi-discipline creative work for Skift’s media brands, products, and events. We are a small team of designers, strategists, and producers creating assets and experiences that support our brands, editorial, and business objectives.

The Creative Strategist / Producer will work with the Head of Creative Strategy to support company-wide design and production efforts, manage content projects, and streamline workflows while ensuring high quality output. This role will be responsible for ensuring Skift’s creative and cross-functional teams stay organized and productive around tight deadlines and proactively present solutions to production challenges.

This role will interface with senior executives, talent, and creatives, including designers, filmmakers, journalists, developers and event producers, ensuring teams are aligned to a project’s creative direction and Skift’s brand vision.

They will be a part of the creative decision making process, working with the Head of Creative and department leads to ideate, conceptualize, and scope creative work from web/UX design to video, content programs, marketing materials, branding, and presentations — then managing the delivery and keeping an organized library of finished assets.

A successful candidate understands the balance between written, visual, and experiential content and how creative evolves between digital, live, and hybrid environments. Familiarity with web publishing, creative tools, digital asset management, and creative/design workflows is a must, as is the ability to quickly learn new technologies and platforms.

This is a great role for a tactical, detail-oriented producer with a creative mind, a keen eye for design, and passion for media and innovation. Past experience as a producer, project manager, design strategist, or content manager in a fast-paced media, entertainment, or agency environment is ideal.

Skift is a fully distributed, remote company with a team based around the globe. This position is remote, from anywhere in the United States and requires a high level of coordination and communication skills to be successful. You must be able to work independently, meet deadlines, and set tasks in a timely manner, join meetings via video, and periodically work outside normal company hours for special events or projects.
