About Skift Events

For the remainder of 2021, Skift is planning online conferences for nearly every month of the year, and then return to hosting more physical events starting in 2022. Our events are fast paced, intimate, and thought provoking. Our biggest event of the year is Skift Global Forum, bringing CEOs from across the industry together to discuss travels' future. Overview We’re looking for an editorially-driven events producer with at least 2 years of related experience working in production for live or online conferences, someone who is familiar and comfortable working with speakers or other talent. We are looking for someone with a passion for details, writing, and storytelling. Experience working in media or having worked within editorial teams is a major plus.

Skift is currently a fully-distributed, remote company with a team based around the globe. This position is remote from anywhere in the United States, as long as you are available to work weekdays from 9am to 5pm ET. You must be able to work well independently, meet goals, deliver tasks in a timely manner, join meetings via video, and periodically work outside of normal company hours for special events or projects.

Some of What You’ll Do:

  • Work with the Editorial Director of Events to manage production documents and event logistics.
  • Keep track of speaker communications teams, providing them with event logistics, handling special requests, and insuring a great event experience.
  • Support the development and execution of online conferences, and help manage any speaker logistics surrounding the event production.
  • Contribute to speaker sourcing, brainstorming, and the honing of topics alongside Editorial Director of Events.
  • Add speaker and event session information to the Skift events website with a thorough attention to detail.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with both editorial and sales teams to ensure clear communication around event details and needs.
  • As additional hybrid or physical events return in the future, you’ll also coordinate with Skift’s production partners to confirm stage content, show timing, and speaker green room logistics are all accurate.

The Experience You Bring:

  • 2+ years of experience in event production.
  • A proven record making deadlines and attention to detail.
  • Experience working with speakers or other similar talent, and their teams.
  • An understanding of programming for events or editorial teams.
  • Strong English language skills and copy-editing skills to catch typos and corrections.
  • Proficiency in WordPress, Google Docs, and experience with Basecamp or other team tools a plus.

How You Work:

  • You communicate openly and share information regularly with your colleagues.
  • Highly organized and able to meet deadlines.
  • You form successful and strong work relationships.
  • Your enthusiasm and dedication are at the heart of how you collaborate well with your teammates.
  • You’re passionate about the world of travel and events.

How to Apply: Please submit a cover letter summarizing your experience and interest in this position along with a resume.
